7 Faces of Pedraforca with Btt
We propose a mountain bike route around Pedraforca, which covers part of the “7 Faces of Pedraforca” eco-trip, within the route of the 9 Emblematic Mountains of the Mediterranean. It’s an adventure between Bagà, Saldes, Gósol, Tuixén, Vallcebre and Gisclareny. This MTB route around Pedraforca takes you to discover the different landscapes, histories and cultures that surround this emblematic mountain of the Catalan Pyrenees. In the various “faces”, each itinerary offers a way to experience the environment, connecting with the natural and cultural elements that make this area a unique destination.
The 7 Faces of Pedraforca:
- Herbs and Women Healers of Tuixent : In Tuixent, we will delve into the tradition of women healers, learning about medicinal plants and their ancestral use to heal and maintain health.
- Terra de Carbó and Dinosaures in Vallcebre : This section reveals the geological past of the area, with remains of coal and dinosaur footprints that take us back millions of years in Earth’s history.
- Pedraforca, Emblematic Mountain : We will discover paths around this iconic peak, which offers unique perspectives of its unmistakable profile and represents a symbol for Catalonia and its hikers.
- Art by Picasso in Gósol : In Gósol, we will visit the town where Picasso lived and found inspiration for an important part of his work, absorbing the colors and essence of the Pyrenean landscape.
- Cathars and troubadours : Between Gósol, Bagà and Josa de Cadí, we will relive the medieval era of the Cathars and troubadours, exploring places with history and legend that transport us back centuries.
- Aigües del Pedraforca : We will be captivated by the springs and waterfalls in this area, source of life for the alpine meadows and green forests that surround the mountain.
- Towns like Saldes and Gisclareny : We will discover life and tradition in these small mountain towns, with stone architecture and landscapes that breathe authenticity and history.
This route can be done in 2, 3 or 4 days, choosing which part of the 7 Faces you want to do and is flexible according to your preferences for kilometers and duration. Come and discover the landscapes, history and living nature of this territory! The itineraries will take us through forests, alpine meadows, waterfalls and cultural corners with good views of Pedraforca, the Serra d’Ensija, Cadí, Serra del Verd, among others.

Proposal 1: 7 Faces of Pedraforca between Catars, Troubadours, -Aigues del Pedraforca and Emblematic Mountain
Of the seven faces of Pedraforca, on this one we will spend between 3 and 4, for 2 or 3 days, with different routes and different
interest value We will be between La Muntanya Emblemática, Aigues del Pedraforca, Terra de Cátars and Trobadors, and active tourism, trying out some of the artisans of the place. Option of 2 days or 3 days; you can ask us for more km and do the 3 days in 2.
