Geopark of Central Catalonia

The Bages Region is a land of contrasts also in its physical and natural characteristics.

This route of Geopark in a privileged location in the heart of Catalonia you will travel through a land of contrasts formed by central flat lands, the so-called Pla de Bages, in the southern part the plain becomes the impressive conglomerate mass of the ancient deltas of Montserrat and the Serra de Sant Llorenç de Munt i l’Obac. Both areas declared Natural Parks with a peculiar landscape. Two important rivers such as the Llobregat rivers and its tributary Cardener, cross it. With exceptional singularities such as the Coves del Toll, the Coves del Salnitre, the Salt Mountain of Cardona.

The Central Catalonia Geological Park is made up of Collbató (Baix Llobregat) and almost all the municipalities of Bages and part of Moianès, such as the Coves del Toll and others.

And other towns of great interest, such as Mura, Cardona, Manresa and many others that will surprise you.

As the land of Bacchus, you can also visit some of the Cellars of the Pla de Bages.
