Salt Roads

One of the most emblematic paths in the town due to its relationship with the old Salt paths that left Cardona (2 days)

The salt route is a route that follows the old paths of the salt route, running through the places that starred in the extraction, transport and trade of salt in Catalonia. They pass by the Cardener river where it was populated by colonies and textile factories. We will arrive at the geodetic center of Catalonia.

Departure: 1st. Day.Parc de l’Agulla, along the old Via Salària we will arrive in Cardona, 42km

Overnight stay in Cardona in the chosen accommodation category.

2nd Day: Circular trip to Pinós where we will visit the Wind Rose, the geographical center of Catalonia. 42 km

Along the way we will pass among vestiges of the textile past, the necropolises of Cal Banyes de Suria, and those of Cal Gallifa de Cardona, the old town of Súria, the 10 vats of the Manxons, arriving in Cardona and its imposing Castle, the Sanctuary of Sant Joan de Bergús, La Rosa dels Vents de Pinòs, the nerve center of Catalonia, with very good views of its surroundings.

The route can be done with the guidance and accompaniment of Sílvia Rovira, on any day requested. For groups that wish, and as was done in the inaugural start, refreshments can be scheduled along the circuit, support car, accommodation reservation and souvenirs for the finishers.

The Salària road remains open and active all year round.
